Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 12, 2026

Author Growth Management ("we," "us," "our") runs this website to find and partner with romance authors. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Questions, or want to exercise a privacy right? Email support@authorgrowthmanagement.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out the partner author application, we collect your name, email address, pen name (optional), the genres you write, how many books you can write per month, whether you have published before, a link to a writing sample (optional), and anything you type into the free-text box. If you email us or book a call, we collect whatever you put in that message.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting and security providers log standard technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time. We use this to serve the site, block abuse, and keep it secure.

Cookies and similar technology. The site uses a small number of cookies set by our hosting and security providers. They keep the site working, hold form state, and tell automated bots apart from real visitors. We do not currently run advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this site. If we add them, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, health data, or financial account numbers, and you should not send it to us.

2. How we use your information

  • To review your application and decide whether to invite you to a call
  • To contact you about your application, our partnership, or work we do together
  • To send you updates about openings and the program, if you asked for them (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website
  • To keep business records, resolve disputes, and comply with the law

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Legal bases for processing (visitors in the UK, EEA, and Switzerland)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Contract, or steps before a contract, to review your application and talk with you about a possible partnership
  • Legitimate interests, to run and secure the site, keep business records, and prevent fraud and abuse
  • Consent, for optional marketing email and for any non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation, where the law requires us to keep or disclose information

4. Who we share information with

Service providers who work for us, on our instructions, and only for the purposes above:

  • Website hosting and form handling: Webflow
  • Security, bot protection, and content delivery: Cloudflare
  • Email, documents, and file storage: Google Workspace
  • Internal project and workflow tools we use to review applications and manage work

We may also disclose information (a) to comply with the law, a subpoena, or a lawful request, (b) to protect our rights, safety, or property, or someone else's, and (c) to a buyer or successor if the business is sold or reorganized. If that happens, this policy keeps applying to the information transferred, or we will tell you about the policy that replaces it.

5. Where your information is processed

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are in the UK, EEA, or Switzerland, we transfer your information to the United States relying on Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved safeguard where one is required. You can ask us which safeguard applies to you.

6. How long we keep it

We keep applications for as long as we may reasonably consider you for a partnership, and in any case no longer than three years after your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we need them longer for legal or accounting reasons. Server and security logs are kept for a short period, normally no more than 12 months. Writing samples you send us are deleted on request.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also just reply and ask to be removed. We will still answer messages about an active application or agreement.
  • Access, correction, deletion. You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is what we relied on.
  • California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to not be retaliated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information beyond what the law permits without a choice.
  • Residents of other US states with privacy laws, and people in the UK, EEA, and Switzerland have similar rights, including the right to object to processing and to complain to a supervisory authority.
  • How to exercise a right. Email support@authorgrowthmanagement.com and tell us what you want. We verify you by replying to the email address on file, or by asking for enough detail to match your record. We answer US requests within 45 days, and we may extend once by another 45 days if we tell you why. We answer UK, EEA, and Swiss requests within one month. You can use an authorized agent, and we will ask for proof of their authority.

8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not track visitors across other websites, so there is nothing to opt out of. Because we do not sell or share personal information, a Global Privacy Control signal does not change how we handle your data.

9. Children

This site is for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), limited access to application data, and vendors who run their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Links to other sites

This site links to other websites and platforms, including Amazon. We do not control them and their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies before giving them your information.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly on the site or contact you directly.
